If you love positive, fun and effective teaching with a correct foundation, Devan Cottrell is incredible. Devan is a phenomenal trainer for all levels and ages - from child beginners to adult new comers to the advanced hunter, jumper, equitation or dressage rider. If you want to add a bit of cross training to your riding, this is a wonderful opportunity as well! Devan Cottrell has a strong background in eventing and dressage while his current focus is on "A" circuit hunter/jumpers outside of Nashville, TN. Devan is an excellent communicator and is incredibly positive and encouraging with a strong focus on proper dressage/flat work to improve horses and riders of all ages & confidence and experience levels.
Check-In starts at 8:30 AM and first ride starts at 9am.
9:00AM-11:45PM - Over fence/jumping will be split into height levels. (2 riders/horses per session, if needed).  Rides will be in outdoor jumping arena.
12:00PM-6:45PM- Dressage or Flat Rides - 1 rider per session.  Rides will be in covered arena.

Rides/sessions will each be approx. 45 minutes

* GAHA Member Auditor: 
    Half Day Auditing: $17.00 - no meals included
    All Day Auditing: $35.00 includes light continental breakfast and lunch

* Non-GAHA Member Auditor: 
    Half Day Auditing: $22.00 - no meals included
    All Day Auditing: $45.00 includes light continental breakfast and lunch

Devan Cottrell's Biography 

Devan Cottrell has a strong background in eventing and dressage while his current focus is on "A" circuit hunter/jumpers outside of Nashville, TN. Devan is an excellent communicator and is positive, fun and encouraging with a strong focus on proper dressage/flat work to improve horses and riders of all ages & confidence and experience levels. If you want to add a bit of fun cross training to your riding to improve you and your horse, this is a wonderful opportunity as well!
 

"Devan Cottrell has experience in many different disciplines which shows in his training, as well as, his ability to understand each rider/horse combo he comes across. He has a strong foundation built upon dressage and keeps that as a common theme throughout his exercises despite the discipline. Devan is a very patient and understanding teacher but will push each rider/horse combo to their highest potential. He is extremely talented with communicating the principles he is teaching; I always walk away from a lesson with Devan feeling successful and motivated, because I am able to relate and understand his explanations. WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE CARPOOLING. We have limited parking - the more carpooling we have - the more auditors we can have for this wonderful event! If you have an chair to bring for seating as well, you can bring it.
