Contests
Throughout the year we will host contests for our GAHA and Region 12 Youth around the Arabian horse. Keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram, Newsletters and website for our next Youth contest! Thank you to our generous prize sponsors!
Youth Nationals Golf Cart Entry
The 2021 AHA Youth Nationals parade of golf carts was a chance for each club to celebrate and display the festive spirit of the entire show. This year, it included a dozen carts that youth from all over the U.S. put together. Two of those carts represented Region 12 youth.
GAHA youth helped decorate one of the Region 12 carts with a goal to contribute to the enjoyable atmosphere of AHA Youth Nationals by allowing youth representatives to show their summer spirit. Several other clubs made donations for this cart and its decorations. The audience included spectators and supportive friends and family at the 2021 AHA Youth Nationals.
GAHA youth helped deck the Region 12 cart out in a beach theme a la the Hawaiian Islands. Palm trees, tiki lights and grass skirts completed the look, and youth passed out complementary flower leas to spectators, and, of course, the judges.
USEF Equestrian Lettering Program
We would love to see our GAHA Youth involved in the US Equestrian Lettering Program! This program is available for Students in Grades 5-12.
The US Equestrian Athlete Lettering Program is open to equestrian athletes in all breeds or disciplines who are currently members of US Equestrian or become US Equestrian members. Students participating in the program need to record 100 hours of riding or training and three competitions of any level or type to complete the requirements for that year. The program runs from June 1-May 31 of each year and will honor those who document their training and competition involvement by awarding emblems and pins.
Students may apply retroactively for previous years if they are still in grades 5-12 and can provide verification for each year. Seniors must submit all documentation by June 15 of their graduating year. See more information at www.usef.org/start-riding/youth-programs/lettering
